How we verify cases
A brand case goes into the library only when we can point to a page that confirms it. Everything else on the site is marked as analysis or as an idea.
What a case needs
- A brand, a market and a date, given only as precisely as the source supports. Some cases show a month or a year for that reason.
- At least one page we opened ourselves: trade press, the brand’s or agency’s own site, or an ad library listing.
- A short description in our own words of what the brand did with the format.
- The maker, only when a source names them.
Results next to a case are the numbers its sources state, with who states them: the publication, the brand or the agency, or the award that was won. We don’t estimate, add up or round them, and we don’t publish view counts or growth figures that no source gives.
What the labels mean
- Sourced: every case links to where we checked it
- Real brand cases and documented history. Each item links to its source.
- Our analysis
- Our reading of how the format works: the beats, why it holds attention, what it takes to make.
- Ideas for your brief, not real campaigns
- Suggestions for your own brief. No brand has run them as far as we know.
Source types on each case
- Trade press
- Covered by advertising or business press.
- Brand or agency page
- Published by the brand or the agency that made it.
- Ad library listing, posted by the brand
- Found in a public ad library, and we checked that the video sits on the brand’s own account.
- Ad library listing, account not yet confirmed
- Found in a public ad library, but we haven’t yet confirmed that the brand itself posted it. Treat it as a lead.
Videos
A case shows a video only when it is the original post from the brand, its agency, the production company or the director. Under each video we name the account that posted it. We never use re-uploads or compilations.
Videos play in the platform’s own player. YouTube, Vimeo and TikTok videos start without sound as you scroll to them, YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode; click one to hear it. Instagram posts and posts from X, Telegram and Threads load as you scroll to them.
Rights and takedowns
We don’t copy or re-host other people’s videos or images. Videos are shown through the platforms’ official embeds, diagrams are our own drawings, and every case links to its source. The film behind the home page headline is our own generated footage, not a brand’s ad.
If you own something we link to or describe and want it changed or removed, email hello@reelcase.co with the page address. We reply within two working days.
Corrections
If a date, a market or a credit is wrong, tell us at hello@reelcase.co or through the suggestion form. We fix it and update the date on the page.
